No one is saying not to criticize and scrutinize the candidates. They’re saying to be aware of of truly nitpicky shit and not to fall for trollbot propaganda campaigns to stay home if your favorite doesn’t ultimately get the nom.

Do you truly in your heart of hearts think the biggest sell out Blue Dog Democrat is going to be worse for this country than what we have now?

Do you truly think it’s worth it to sit out 2020 and possibly get another four years of this lunacy we’re living now for the sake of holding out for a more perfect candidate? It isn’t for me, or anyone else I know.

I don’t deny the DNC needs better PR and more radical candidates that don’t roll over on their bellies but if Trump and the damage he’s brought that our grandchildren will be cleaning up isn’t enough to plug your nose up for anyone short of an actual rapist, murderer or other red flag along that scale, I don’t know what will. Cuz the GOP sure are lining up behind every one of Trump’s awful policies to fuck over minorities and women.

1. I literally wrote this post in response to a highly popular post on this website saying that criticizing Democrats is bad
2. If someone regularly votes for and advocates for Republican policy it doesn’t actually matter if they have a (D) next to their name on CNN. that is the entire thing I’m pointing out here. if they don’t actively fight reactionary policy, LET ALONE advocate for anything meaningfully progressive, then they are not actually providing anything of value.
3. When the fuck did I say to “sit out 2020” you dork. If you actually read the addition I made to this post, in fact, you would have seen that I explicitly do not have a problem with voting for the lesser evil provided that they are actually meaningfully lesser.
4. Boy do I have bad news for you about, uh, the entire history of the United States if you agree that being an “actual murderer” should disqualify someone from being President
